it changes you

cable and internet went out momentarily this afternoon.

i called SKY Cable to inquire if the system was down in my area and their customer service representative told me the areas that were having technical problems. i was nowhere near them.
but she told me she would make a report and have the problem fixed by monday AT THE LATEST.

fifteen minutes later, everything was as smooth as a baby's bottom.

now, THAT is consumer care.

a stark contrast from my MERALCO nightmare two weeks ago.

hats off to SKY Cable's customer service. every centavo you pay is worth it. i hope they keep it up.

a stark contrast from my MERALCO nightmare two weeks ago when they told me it would take a minimum of THREE days (a whole weekend) to restore power to five homes in our area. and they were a basic utility service.

hats off to SKY Cable's customer service. every centavo you pay is worth it. i hope they keep it up.

one month

two days short of a month of adulthood and i have encountered majority of the causes of homeowner headaches.

i am left alone to make decisions i used to watch my mom make, wishing there was somebody i could share the responsibility with.

i'm not that strong. there are times when i just need chicken soup and my mommy by my side.

deep inside, this adult is still a little girl. sabi nga, "para lang akong nagbabahay-bahayan."

nasan ang liwanag

barely two weeks ago, i had to argue with two customer service representatives from Meralco's "Consumer Care" hotline because of the corporation's inefficiency to give a basic utility service. i was on a deadline. i needed electricity. i had a schedule for a busy weekend. and MERALCO basically screwed it all up.

tonight, i am still on a deadline and again, the power goes out. this is what MERALCO does best. raise their rates, deliver punctual disconnection notices and fail to provide the service their consumers deserve. and their timing is always impeccable. i think they need a little competition. nakakahiya kayo, MERALCO, basic service pa man din kayo. Kung may ibang electric company lang, matagal na akong lumipat. because i don't think there's anything crappier than the service you claim to provide.
